If it is used as a vaporized product, then it may immediately take effect from one to 20 minutes given that the inhalation of the product instantly goes to the lungs and is incorporated in the bloodstream.
Meanwhile, if it used sublingually or placed under the tongue, it may take 30 minutes to more than an hour. And if it is used as an edible product, it may take more time in taking effect with a given 20 to 90 minutes of waiting time for effectivity.
